2005 Ford Escape Reverse Lights not working. It is not the bulb!
This past weekend I was hooking up my back up camera to my 2005 Ford Escape automatic transmission when I noticed that I had no reverse signal from the wire that runs to the tail lights. I placed the vehicle in reverse and then proceeded to look at my tail lights but they would not come on. I then proceeded to check to see if the bulbs were ok and they checked out fine. I then proceed to check all the fuses, both under the hood and under the dashboard. All the fuses were ok. I even switched around the relays in the battery junction box and no difference. I did a bit of research online and I suspect that it could be the SJB that is mounted on the transmission. I had just replaced the alternator.
I cannot locate the SJB switch connector to test to see if it is bad. Can someone please send me a diagram or picture of the location of this SJB so that I can get my reverse lights working again? Attached is a picture of my engine bay, if you can point to where the relay or sensor is located, that would be great.
