Hi, I have an 09 Subaru liberty. beeping sound problem

Hi Subaru Liberty 09 beeping sound remove battery terminals approx. 5 mins.
Reconnects and it still beeps and key is out, diag. Machine says no fault.
What can be causing this problem, do not believe it is seat belt

Is this the "you left your key in the ignition" beep? If so the ignition switch is probably faulty.
