I have 09' Chrysler 300C which only came with an automatic keyless type key. It appears my battery is dead and cannot get inside car or trunk. How can I pop hood to charge battery in trunk from hood?
The main battery is in the trunk but it can somewhat be charged from under the hood...not a good charge but enough to probably allow my key fob to unlock the doors and the trunk to get to the main battery to charge it better. I presume the battery dying is the problem but I don't know for sure. In any case, a regular key did not come with this car and I only have 2 key fobs that automatically start the car from afar as well as automatically unlock the doors and trunk by pressing some buttons on the key fob. However, since my car is dead, I cannot get into it. Therefore, I was thinking that if I could pop the hood with a butter knife or something from the outside, I could then charge up the battery enough from under the hood for the key fob to work to get into the trunk to charge the battery by hooking directly to the battery. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck in the middle of nowhere with my family and need some assistance with this. Even if the answer is no there is no way, then that is a great thing to know.
