What else could cause 2009 Audi A4 coolant being sucked into somewhere, but no leaks? Car overheats now.
We took the car to an auto repair
shop because coolant was being
sucked into somewhere, but no
leaks. The shop replaced the radiator
hoses & bled the system. Problem
came back. Took the car back. They
did a pressure test & found nothing.
They replaced the coolant reservoir
cap thinking that was it. Problem
came back. Took the car to an Audi
dealership. They found air in the
system, but no leaks. They pressure
tested the system, replaced it with
new coolant after pulling vacuum on
coolant system & evacuated all air
bubbles. They replaced the cap to
OEM specs. Problem came back.
Took it back to the Audi dealership.
They found a code for coolant temp
sensor & the top radiator hose was
getting hot. They replaced the water
pump (we already replaced it a year
prior), coolant temp sensor, &
thermostat housing assembly. They
bled the system, test drove &
rechecked. Problem came back with
a vengeance. The coolant was still
being sucked into somewhere & the
car started overheating pretty badly.
We had to get it towed back to the
Audi dealership (it is there now).
