2009 BMW 528i xdrive N52 engine.

Asked by GuruYC9MN Mar 06, 2018 at 05:38 PM about the 2009 BMW 5 Series 528i xDrive Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought this car 2 months ago from used car
dealership.   Have had to replace all six ignition
coils to date.  Was driving well Sunday morning.
Parked for 2 hours.  Then would not start.  It would
crank over but never catch and run.  Not sure if it is
a gas issue or ignition issue....  somewhat lost.
Closest BMW shop is 2 hrs away so trying to do
some trouble shooting on my own.  I have many
testing instruments because I work on industrial
machine all the time.  Just need some direction and
testing procedures to get me started in tr right
direction.  Can anyone help?

Tom So I do not hear pump prime and I took off the hose that connects to injector rail and when just turning key to on position I get no gas. But when I try to start I get gas but not like I would have thought just light pour of gas coming out. Thanks for the info. I will check with local dealer and see about recall. Do you know where I can find the recall info on web or bulletin for this recall? Thanks again
