ESL/EIS Failure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I am relatively certain I am experiencing an ESL/Eis failure and would like
to get my car serviced. The problem, is we are in a private garage with low
clearance and in a tight spot. Since there is no ignition, steering is locked
and it cannot be shifted out of gear thus making access difficult for the tow.
Question: Is there a way to bypass the ESL or override the transmission to
get it out of gear?? Just want to get it moved!

I’m not sure. My BMW X5 had that same problem. There’s was a separate key for mine that unlock it.My tow guy found it
