Orange Tool Bar, throttle body, and AC, what's the connection?

Asked by 520AZFord2010Fusion Mar 20, 2021 at 02:50 PM about the 2010 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This orange Tool Bar is the only issue I've
had with my 2010 Ford Fusion. It seems to
come on when running the AC and
accelerating, the car will then bog down, if I
put car in neutral, open the door and shut it
all while car is running, it will usually allow
me to continue to travel but the check
engine light will be on. The diagnostic code
says throttle body. My husband has cleaned
the throttle body, which works Everytime,
only for about a week. Now it's been winter
here in AZ and I've only had the issue maybe
once. However here comes summer and it
impossible to not run your ac! What's the
connection between the AC and throttle
body? Do you think if I replace the throttle
body it will remedy the situation? I just don't
wanna spend that money if that's not my
issue. Also there's something in connection
with the throttle body area that senses
heat?? My car when standing next to it , it
puts off a lot heat, the temperature gauge
has never substantiated this. Just
wondering.

Scan for the diagnostic codes again and post them here. The actual numbers.
