About Mazda 3 2010 model Key.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently I had a really bad day by forgetting my car key at holiday hotel
abroad.
I end up having to rent a car from the airport, driving 2h home to get the
spare key and go back to get my car... a total of a 6h drive....

So... I have those Smart Transponder Keys that you only have to press the
start button and that car starts. I got both originals.
My question. Is it possible to get and program a simple transponder key that
will only start the car if I insert it in the ignition? That way I can hide it under
the frame ( found the spot) so in an emergency, i can use it. If I use a normal
Smart transponder key it will end up be unlock all time.

you are making a complicated solution. Get a locking key-box. There are special made ones you can magnetically attach under your car like a lock-box, you use another key or a keycode to get inside the box to get the key.
