Toyota Camry Fans

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi, my 2010 toyota camry fans are not turning on, both of them. They do not
turn on with A/C on either. I've checked the fuses under the hood and in the car,
all are good. What else could be the problem and how can i check it.
Thanks.

Any warning lights on or flashing when the Engine is running? How about the AC indicator light. Does it flash on and off when the AC is turned on?
No warning lights when running, the engine doesn't seem to overhead stays right below the middle, even at idle. Does not turn on with A/C yet I can see the A/C compressor engage. upper hose has pressure on it when I squeeze by hand. Both fans spin freely when spun by hand.
AskTrannyMan, which relay, the power distribution box is the one under the hood?
ATM, I'm not good at any of this stuff let alone knowing what to look for with a meter. I'll google it and just replace the relay see if that work. Any other ideas while I'm at it please let me know. Thanks, Max
I believe these Cooling Fans are controlled by a Fan ECU...Computer. Two fuses are involved. Under hood fuse and relay box....driver side....you might find a 50 amp Fan Main Fuse. Also a Fan Main Relay. Check ID's under fuse cover. There might also be a 10 amp ECU Ig #1 fuse. These are necessary to power up the Fan Computer. When the Computer has power and ground it watches a signal from the Engine computer...ECU. When the engine ECU sees the engine getting too hot ...it signals the Fan ECU to operate the appropriate fan. When the Engine ECU sees the AC system functioning....it signals the Fan ECU to turn on the fans. So...as you can see...things are a little complicated these days when considering an attempt to "fix your own car". So the next time a Tech successfully repairs an issue such as this one.....shake his/her hand and say "thanks." Having said that...what can you do? Check those fuses and see if there is an IDENTICAL Relay to the said relay above...located in the same relay box. In other words....switch identical relays. Do not forget to turn ignition OFF when doing all this messing around. Get back with results.
What it turned out to be was that I was low on Freon. It’s too cold so I wouldn’t have ever knows. But the system got charged up and as they charged it I saw both fans kick on.
