2010 Ford Edge lock issue

My 2010 Ford Edge just had a strange issue.  I
unlocked the doors with the Fob.  All the lock
plungers popped up, yet none of the doors would
open.  I had to climb through the trunk to open the
door from inside.  Once the drivers door was
opened, all the other doors worked properly.  What
would cause this?
