And please, be sure that the "doom light" goes off, you probably want more time in this world to enjoy the car. Seriously, follow the previous advise, it can be something simple to fix.
We tried the wd40 amd that didn't work
Also, push the door switch with your thumb and see what happens.
Yes it is closing.. And what switch are u talking about??
The switch that activates the dome light inside the car. They located on the body of the car. Open the door and see if there is a round "button" with protruding part that you can push in with your finger. There should be one for each door to activate the inside light each time they are open. Unless your car has a different design.
I just asked a mechanic I know that works at the local Ford dealer, he says that there is a sensor located inside the driver's side door below the door latch. Try to use some carburetor cleaner, spry plenty of it in the latch making sure it runs down, after that do the same with WD-40. He says that this works some times. After that, open and close the door several times to see if it goes back to normal operation. If it is too dirty, clogged or defective, you will have to replace it; the part cost about $50.00 but you have to be able to remove the inside door panel. Try the cleaning procedure first. I hope it works!
