2010 Ford Edge Check Engine Light

Asked by GuruTL3VH Jun 29, 2018 at 02:39 PM about the 2010 Ford Edge Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My CE light came on after car ran hot. Temp gauge went up to H, needed lots
of coolant.  After adding gallon of coolant, temp gauge went to normal but CE
light stayed on. Getting ready to check OBD for code.  Runs better and AC
works fine.  What next?

Did you have a look at your engine oil? Hopefully there is not coolant in there. A broken water pump on those engines will throw the timing off, and most likely post several codes.
