check for proper spark , fuel pressure ( do you hear the fuel pump prime the system when you hit the key ? ) and injector pulse . Scan for codes even if the light ain't on .

This vehicle has a timing belt that can break. To confirm that's what has happened do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero the timing belt is broken. Before you spend the money to get it fixed you need to find out if you have an interference engine. If you do the valves will be bent, all of them, and you'll need to junk the vehicle and move on. It won't be worth fixing at that point. Hope that helps! Jim
