2005 Ford Explorer XLS starter

#1) The Engine has just recentley had problems starting in warm weather.
With a new good 850 CCA battery, I now just get a click.
If I jumper it wth another 450 CCA jumper it will start slugishly.
After running for a little while & try it again same thing.
What to look for?
#2) Since the starter is in a really hard to get to location, I would appreciate any tips on how to remove it.

Check all your ground connections, pay particular attention to the two coming off the negative battery terminal. Oftentimes not seen, corrosion builds up on the copper wires which cannot be seen. If your problem is not there, check the cables to the starter and check the solenoid.
That is what I figured was probably the case, but I can not get to them easily. Looks like I need to remove the front differential to get to it. Is that the prefered method?
Not sure with a four wheel drive. Surf the net for 4 wheel drive starter replacement. There is probably a video.
Checked videos. Looks like the preferred method is to go through the wheel well to access. Thanks
