Has anyone replaced the oil pan gasket on a 2010 chevy Equinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I can see some oil dripping from the oil pan seal.  It is leaking in 2 spots
near the passenger edge and near the transmission. The thing that makes me
worried is that the oil pan is bolted to the transmission. I am hoping that the oil
pan is not somehow also retaining the transmission fluid.

No trans fluid should be mixing with engine oil. There is a transaxle bracket in the area. I googled it and it appears to be a complex job for a simple pan and gasket replacement. I read what you were talking about with the transmission being so close to oil pan.
