Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 chevy Equinox 2.4 engine. I start it up and when I put it into
gear it wont move.I took it to a transmission shop and they told me the #2
transmission solenoid was bad staying open and that i needed to replace it.
So i bought a rebuilt Tcm Solenoid/TCM Assembly and replaced it. Now the
car wont even go when u put it in any gear.So I took the rebuilt TCM
solenoid/ TCM assembly out and put Rebuilt TCM Solenoids in the old TCM
assembly and it still wont move when put into any gear. I have checked the
transmission fluid and it is at the right level. Plus the check engine light is off
now too since I did all of this. even with the rebuilt TCM Solenoid/ TCM
Assembly the check engine light was on.what could the problem beI have a

Sounds like it's in limp mode, have you tried unhooking the battery and waiting for about ten- 15 min before hooking it back up

The battery was unhooked for a week and then I was told not to do with newer cars cause it might cause it to have to be reprogramed
