spark advance min/max for gm 3.6l engine
I have a question about what the min and maximum spark advance should be on my 2010 3.6l enclave. My scanner fluctuates between -25 to +45 deg of spark advance. I just put a new timing chain kit in and it ran great for about two days. The previous owner/mechanic must have ground the starter into the ground. It had a hard time starting after the repairs. I got stranded the second day while trying to start it but the starter just grounded out and would not turn. During this episode I got a jump but the starter just got worse till nothing at all. During this episode the ECM fuse blew. After tracking down the ECM issue and replacing the starter the vehic starts easily but runs a little rough and now has less power than it should have. I am wondering in addition to the spark advance numbers, if maybe the timing has jumped itself a tooth or more out or time somehow. I changed the spark plugs and checked all the coils to find the coils are all firing OK. Before the issue there was a permanent random misfire on the front bank 3 cylinders. I moved the front coils to the back of the engine but the same 3 front cylinders are still misfiring. For this reason I am wondering if maybe that bank has jumped timing.
Any thoughts on what may be the issue here?
