Question type: General

I have a 2010 Impala LS and I was wondering if I could add the steering wheel
radio option by just buying the switches without changing the wiring harness.

if you buy the switches, you must buy either a new steering wheel, or just the back piece that has the spot for the radio controls. You will also need the change the airbag clockspring to one that is used for the radio controls. If you change the clockspring, you will also need the airbag that is designated to that clockspring because your airbag has a different clockspring than the one that is meant for the radio controls. (sorry, I am not good with words. Having an off day :P) it's a lot of work, and it is a very time consuming job, especially if there are problems during installation etc. it has been done before successfully though. I've never done it, but I have read up on people who have done it, and they even said themselves it was alot of work.
