the throttle body on a 2010 is electronic, no cables running from the pedal to the body. it has a electric motor built into the throttle body to move the throttle plate.
throttle motor? what will they think of next? a better idea [ford] you have no throttle cable from your gas peddle! a minuet voltage current goes to the "brain" ,step it down and some more minute voltage goes to the bcm all while telling this "motor' to go this way that way ,easy, fast ,backup, forward and the moter is telling the brain more fuel or less by throttle angle ect, sound scarey? does me! I dont know how to check something like that other than a voltage probing? scope? you can try
Almost all automotive companies have the electronic throttle now, dodge started in 2007 with the Caliber and Ram Hemi, only way to fix is to replace it... don't backprobe it, it will send a signal to possibly stick at WOT. Dealers use a scan tool to diagnose and open and close it electronically.
Well put chris. We have been putting a bunch on the new one is a different part number so it must be a revised design surprised its not a recall. we probably do 3-4 a week and its not a large town.

Would this cause your car to stall. I just some work on this car less than 4-6 months. I change sensors, which cost apx 300-400. Then something in the fuel system that cost apx 800. Now my car is shutting down on me again. This is the worse car I ever own. Can I ask, would a throttle cause the car to shut off unexpectedly and why haven't there been a recall on these vehicles that is barely 4 years?
