2010 Cadillac DTS

Asked by Christopher Aug 17, 2017 at 07:02 PM about the 2010 Cadillac DTS Luxury FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 10 Caddy DTS. There are issues when it tries to
start. When you get in and turn the key the car will crank
and not start. On the next try the car will crank and start but
the engine power reduced message comes on and the car
shimmys. When this happens the engine light also comes
on. On the next try you turn the key and nothing. After
sitting awhile and I try again it cranks and starts
fine...engine light will stay on and later reset. No one can
tell me what is going on. Possibly the computer?

I know I had a throttle sensor replaced last year. That code was stored. They are having trouble getting codes because the car is starting and running fine with none of this going on. This will happen frequently. It runs fine and dies this randomly
