2010 Cadillac CT Premium purchased with 6054 miles last October 2014. Has CPO warranty till 2016. When backing up and turning wheel all the way right or left a "clunking" noise is heard from the front wheel assembly and the idle no longer propels the car backwards; the gas pedal needs to be depressed as if there was some resistance to moving. Happens when on gravel or if raining and wet pavement. Anyone know of any recalls related to the front steering assembly?

sounds like a resistance problem in the power steering system..but never max. crank the wheel all the way left or right

ok are the tires and wheels factory or after market? also cv joints in front axle can cause a hop or catch when turning a clunking noise.

Passenger side front wheel it’s probably you lower control arm bolts lose GM had the bright idea to make it adjustable and it likes to move sound just like what your describing
