Does your car recognize the proximity of the FOB by automatically unlocking the door on the side that you walk up to?

What message displays on the information screen when you attempt to start the car ?
Yes the brake lights work. The car does register the FOB and unlocks the wheel and allows me to turn the key on. It just keeps showing a (!) symbol blinking and for some reason my stability traction control won’t go off either.
By the way I greatly appreciate you replying. Now I think about it it actually stop opening the door about 2 months ago I have been using the actual key but will open any other door just not the driver. I figured the sensor went out?
Ed. I thought the same thing but sadly it won’t even turn over. If it was one of those it would at least try to crank I feel like. Yeah I could do that but before I spend hundreds of dollars I’d like to try and diagnose it myself. I have had the codes pulled on it and it did pull a fuel code. I jumped the starter relay with a wire and it cranked so I changed the starter relay. I tried to jump the relay again and it won’t start after putting a new starter on it. I was told the bad relay is what killed the cells in my battery.
I just wanted to give a update to everyone that tried helping out. Also for anyone else that may experience this problem in the future. So after many hours of chasing wires and all that good stuff. It came out to be the ground wire under the hood under the fuse box. It had a loose connection, the bolt somehow backed itself off over time I guess and got to loose to make a connection. I tightened it back down got in and cranked right up. Hope this helps!
Having this same problem. Already bought and replaced the battery and was going to buy a relay today and test that out before moving on to the starter. I will definitely check the ground wire under my hood and hopefully that is the issue in my car as well.
