i have a 2010 chrysler 300 touring with 85000 miles. when the engine is cold , i started and the engine always pings for a few seconds. what could be the problem?
I took it to the dealer and they told me that the block and heads were aluminum and that
aluminum shrinks when it's cold and expands when it's hot (or vise versa) , so it would
ping for a few seconds. anyway they said that was normal. I have never heard a car ping
when it'cold.
