2010 dodge check engine light is on, should I be concerned?

My serpentine belt broke and was replaces and now my check engine light in
on, should I be concerned about this, also what would cause this, does the light
just need to be reset?

Yes, be concerned enough to have the trouble code read. Then you will know what is wrong.

What could be the problem? I am just wondering if it is really worth putting the money into the car.

There could be hundreds of different problems so I cannot guess. This is why you take your car to the auto parts store to have the codes read.
