Car overheats at stops??? Thermostat, water pump?

I've had the car 2 months and of course the warranty just went out, I figure ill start with the thermostat which I'm told the car has 2 and they aren't cheap. It was just an all the sudden thing. Also the AC nor heater works on lowest or highest setting.
Also the fans behind the grill both kick on as ive seen with the hood open when its running.
I had the same problem with my Buick. I would recommend adding some blue devil head gasket sealant it worked for me. It's not that expensive works great and lasts about 8 months before you need to add more.
I would lean toward bad water pump,
just input a themostatic for dodge advenger still seems to run hot what is the problem.
I have a 2013 dodge avenger and it does the same thing however we just gotten this car and the 30 fay warranty just expired they changed the thermostat and the hoses and the thermostat hosing Please help
I've had the same issue with my 2.4L dodge stratus. After I replace hoses and water pump it stoped overheating. I would not recommend using blue devil or any other quick fix coolent additive. It would lead to more costly repairs down the road due to it coating the interior of your coolant system
There is two red bars with a lightening bolt in the middle.wat does that mean?
If it has dex cool in it, you will probably need to get the system flushed at least once and put in green anti freeze
My 2010 avenger starts making a boiling noise when I stop it, I changed thermostats .what could it be water pump or radiation?
