The touch screen stereo in my 2010 VW Jetta TDI will not function. Suggested that the Amplifier is blown. Where is the Amplifier located in my vehicle?

2010 VW Jetta TDI,  Audio system.  Cannot locate Amplifier in the vehicle. I checked
replaced fuses to my stereo, still not functioning.

Separate amplifier is an uncommon option. Only used by the premium8 stereo, which has 10 speakers. They can be driven directly by that stereo or through the optional amplifier. If present, its under the drivers seat. see pic.

Join the club and check out this post http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t36009_ds552583 Mine does not have a separate amp I thought that may be the problem too.
