Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,
I have a Chrysler Sebring 2010. I bought it with 30,000
miles, and have driven the car since buying it in 2011, all
the way up to 172,854 where it is currently.

My issue concerns the transmission, which runs perfect. I
can't ever remember ever servicing the transmission, didn't
flush the transmission at 100,000 miles that the manuel
recommends, and I can't ever recall adding any
transmission fluid over all of these miles, or even checking
the transmission fluid level once until yesterday.

I was surprised to find that the fluid was not brown or black,
but still pink. Assuming this is the original transmission
fluid, and taking into account the fact that no transmission
maintenance has ever been done, at my cars age, should I
even attempt a transmission flush? Should I change my
transmission fluid? Should I leave it alone?

There is no gear slipping of any kind, however, my new
extended car maintenance insurance policy states that in
order for the transmission to be coveted, I have to get
either a fluid flush or exchange on my transmission done
within the next twelve months or 12,000 miles, otherwise
transmission repairs won't be covered.

Most of the miles driven on the car were highway miles.

What should I do in regards to the transmission?

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Skip the flush and change the fluid. A flush on a neglected transmission is asking for trouble.

dont flush it will/or can ruin your transmission at this point. change the fluid but dont do a flush unless you have bad fluid, smelly fluid etc. if its all nice like you say...DO NOT DO A FLUSH. Your only asking for trouble if you do. maybe get a chrysler mechanic or a mechanic to chk it and give a written statement on NOT flushing the fluid reason(s) so you can forward it to your warrenty service people

Does any one have any ideas or suggestions about what could be the cause of this coolant leak? So I can have a better idea and understanding prior to going into the mechanic?
