Hi Lu, once a transmission starts slipping, it means the clutches inside the transmission are worn and burned out. Usually a fluid change will not change things. Sorry to tell you, but you need a replacement transmission or a rebuild for $2000 to $3000. Did you get a warranty from the dealer you bought it from? Some dealers give you a 30 day powertrain warranty and this would be covered. I usually get a mechanic to look over any used car I will be purchasing before I sign the papers. Good Luck.

Lu the common problem is the shift solenoid. Its located on the bottom of the trans under the air box on the side of the trans facing you.simple to replace, 3 bolts, costs around $170 for the part. I would have your codes read before buying any parts first though and see if the code comes up. Im assuming youve checked the fluid levels already having had it serviced.
