there is little stoppers on either side towards the back of your glove box , you will need to pry them past to get glove box all the way down and has several screws around to completely remove it, i would bet the clicking noise is a bad air door actuator, the gears usually strip as they are plastic and making the clicking noise, i would see what hvac control is not working and you will know which actuator is bad, the recirculation vent actuator is somewhat common to go bad, good luck , feel free to send me a message if you have any more questions or need further help

The a.c. door in back of glove box doesn't open, always on the same position!! If I take the glove box out and move the door it opens in all dashboard settings. after several weeks the door doesn't open on the same door position, always the position will not open while all settings will open!!!
