Why is my car shaking?

I started my car the engine light came on as I went
to leave the entire car would shake. I tried to speed
up but the shaking got worse so I had to go 25 mph  
but the car was still shaking a little bit. I tried driving
it today and it seems fine maybe a little jerking but
I’m not for sure I didn’t try going over 35 just
incase. What would cause the shaking?

I suspect you will get a misfire code. Have the codes read at an auto part store like chevy indicated. The trouble codes will indicate the issue. I'd say it's time for Spark plugs and or a bad coil.
