Sunroof drain tubes

Asked by GuruB278T Jan 18, 2019 at 09:21 AM about the 2010 Toyota RAV4 Limited V6 4WD

Question type: General

In 2017 BMW settled in a class action suit regarding damage caused by clogged sunroof drains flooding the trunks - this issues seems to plague all makes and models. Clogged drain tubes caused critical damage to my wiring harnesses housed in the front of my RAV4.  Dealerships claim no responsibility for damage or disclosing the existence of the faulty drain systems to owners.  Do you know of any Toyota class action suits developing on this issue (or any other models).   Cher

Now that you know about the problem you should clean out the tubes on a regular basis. You do have responsibility to maintain your car!

need to clean once in a while, more often if you park under trees, with compressed air
