Sunroof drain... damage by accident.

Asked by Keggie Jul 22, 2014 at 05:00 PM about the 2007 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: General

I had an accident last year where someone plowed into my drivers side door. Afterwards when ever it rained the driver side floor would get soaked. Its taken a year for them to figure out it the sunroof drain. They are claiming this is just clogged, but I can't believe it wasn't due to the accident. The door was smashed and had to be removed along with the front corner panel. Any thoughts? natural coincidence or accident damage.

The bad thing about this is the fact that they dragged their feet on the issue for a year. Now they can point the finger and say that it was clogged by dirt. Not the accident. They will claim that too much time has elapsed. Personally, I can't beileve they weren't smart enough to figure it out. It's usaully a clogged sunroof drain or a clogged A/C drain that causes wet floors............

Well I plan to have them show me a undamaged tube if they want me to pay for it. Of course if the tube is easily reshaped it won't prove I am right. I am certain this was the hit, that is exactly where the car hit me, how could it not dent the tube. Thanks for your answer.
