Car under manufacture warranty While back windshield shattered. Is it cover by manufacture?

Asked by Toyotaisaliar Feb 14, 2016 at 10:54 PM about the 2015 Toyota Camry XSE

Question type: General

Back Windshield shattered.  Car was parked at home  in garage.  No impact
point was found when took to dealership on 1st day.  After 5 days the car was
left at dealership and performed a tire rotation, an impact point was found.  Is
it possible?  Will this be covered by manufacture warranty when no impact
point was issue by dealership technician on day one?  After 5 days, they
decline to replace the back windshield since they found the impact after 5
days?  Is this right?  In addition, there were five or more people was
inspecting my windshield at Toyota dealership and stated no impact point
was found.  Again, 5 days later they found it.  Can it be true?

My experience has been.....when a front or rear glass "shatters" for no apparent reason....it is due to faulty installation. Have it replaced by a reputable shop and save the bill....then declare war on Toyota. There are forms for you to fill out located in the package of "Owner's Manual and maintenance Schedule...Warrantee Information. Start writing letters and make a nuisance of yourself. Also.....eventually...Toyota may eventually issue a SERVICE BULLETIN concerning this issue. Keep your eye out on the internet. Good Luck
