I have a 2010 Nissan Sentra with 80,000 on it - Why do I already need a new engine?

I have Nissan Sentra 2010 with 80,000 miles, and have just been told I need a new engine? How can this be?

  forton7@yahoo.com To CarGurus Today at 3:16 PM Hi, thanks for your reply. The first garage was a Nissan Dealer and the second was a regular car mechanic. The Nissan dealer mentioned 'compression' and low oil, even though I regularly had my oil changed. The second one said that a belt had gone in the engine, which seems odd, because the Sentra has a timing chain, not belt!
