Transfer case reolacement

Asked by MattMaxwell Mar 21, 2019 at 01:02 AM about the 2010 Toyota Tundra Tundra-Grade Double Cab 5.7L 4WD

I have a 2010 toyota tundra and bought a uses
transfer case. The transfer case I bought has a
alignment post on it and the old one does not. The
post are on the truck so when I try to put it on the
two posts hit so I can't slide the transfer case on all
the way. Can I grind the post on the truck off and
the one on the transfer case off so I can bolt it on?
