2010 Highlander Ocassionally Fails to Start

Asked by SteveMac123 Nov 09, 2015 at 05:29 PM about the 2010 Toyota Highlander Base V6 4WD

Question type: General

Occasionally, 2-3 times per week, our 2010 fails to start.  No power at all to car.  After jump starting, the car works fine for a couple days and the problem repeats.  Just prior to it failing, I have noticed that the power steering feels rough.  My mechanic has no idea what the problem is.

If you have not done it already, clean the battery terminals and cable ends and inspect the cable ends for damage. If the cables are damaged, replace them. Have the battery tested too.
