Welcome to the messed up world of Chrysler products. Sounds a serious transmission/transfer case problem. Does it have around 80K or more? If it does it could very well have a internal transmission problem and the shift fork in the transfer case damaged or even broken. You need a good 4X4 shop, not the dealer.
