Biggest recent remodel year Jeep Cherokee and Compass?

I'm looking to purchase a used Jeep Cherokee or Jeep compass. What was
the year where Jeep made the highest technological upgrades and internal
change to the lineup? It looks to me, a 2017 is a lot different compared to the
2018 model year. Let me know please.

The Cherokee KL generation runs from 2014 to current. In 2019 the Cherokee got a face lift. The 2014 to 15 cars had a problem with their electronics in that they could be hacked and remotely controlled. There is a software patch for this problem.
Excellent, So I should purchase 2019+ for a Cherokee. What about the Compass? I noticed that the 2018+ model interior was changed from 2017. Should I only be looking at 2019+ Jeep Compasses as well? I just want to have to newest Tech available.
If you want the newest tech you should obviously buy the newest car. If you buy a Compass avoid CVT models. I personally would not buy a Jeep because they are not as reliable as other cars but they are stylish and a lot of people like them.
