I want to know if jeep compass limitted has FWD when you dont want 4WD

Yes, I believe your Jeep runs as a FWD vehicle until some wheel spin is detected then it automatically turns on the 4WD, sending power to the rear wheels. It is so smooth you can hardly tell it's happening. Some systems allow the driver to manual engage the 4WD when severe conditions are anticipated.
