Bad coolant thermostat gas gauge needle moving up and down

I have a question i have to replace a coolant thermostat bit
I've also been noticing the gas gauge needle keeps going
up and down just filled up my car when i turned my car on
the gas gauge didn't budge could that be because of the
thermostat issue??

The thermostat and the gas gauge is two different issues. One has nothing to do with the other.
