Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This morning I was heading to work and on my way there
my O/D light started flashing. Once I got to work I came to
stop and car just turned off. I tried turning it back on and it
started but died right after. My engine light is on now and
won't turn off. I tried starting car later and it starts but
wants to die down at start but will keep idling and stays on.

I want to add The over drive light came on before about a month ago but turned off since then. The car also rubs up from 2nd to 3rd gear when driving.

You should check the transmission and inspect it, some cars turn off when they have issues with the ingine, you should have checked it when the overdrive light first showed up i mean the transmission.
