Truck won't start, just clik

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck didn't start. turn key and just clicks. Removed starter and tested starter on battery and work find. hook starter to it wires, but not bolted to engine work ok, bolted starter to engine work fine. droved truck home no problem, next morning same thing. just click won't start,

Could have bad solenoid, battery going out, reduced cold cranking amps. Have the starter bench tested under load.

try tapping on the starter with a hammer with it installed. If it starts the starter is bad.
