Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, my wife's car died while on the freeway.  When i try to start the car, it just
turns over without firing.  The check engine light is on.  It has also been running
hot.  My son filled up the coolant reservoir.  I connected my OBD2 diagnostic
tool but it keeps coming back as not seeing the ECM.  I'm really just trying to
get a clue so I dont get ripped off by the local mechanic.

Thanks Chevytruckman76. I've replaced that on my RAM 1500 - it was really easy. Thank you. I'll order a new sensor and keep you posted.

Did you check the timing belt to see if it jumped or broke?

Did we find the answer to this issue? Got a 2006 mini cooper with the same issue and showing the same things about the ECM.
