Question type: General

I have a 2010 Mini Cooper S. Is it better to
use 87 pure gasoline or 93 octane with
ethanol?  My mechanic suggest no
ethanol,  but I'm having trouble finding
anything above 87 octane without ethanol.

Yes, you don't find too many service stations selling non-ethanol fuel. My daughter-in-law owns a 2010 Mini Cooper and always fills with 93 octane that contains at least 10% ethanol. Check the owner's manual to see if it says anything about octane/ethanol.

I found the website, www.pure-gas.org very helpful with locating pure gas in the U.S. and Canada. There are a few local service stations selling 93 octane without ethanol in my area.
