Hey guys,
Yesterday I did an oil change on my mini and
something appears to have gone wrong. I didn't
take out much oil maybe a quart but I replaced it
with roughly 4 like I was told to do so with a mini.
Immediately after the oil change my car had a really
heard time accelerating and when it did the rpms
would shoot up and the car would bolt and this was
after I let it warm up for 15 minutes. When the car is
cold I can press on the gas in drive and it won't
move an inch. No as you can imagine I'm a bit
worried as I'm still new to all this. any ideas? My
first plan of action will be to remove some oil but im
not even sure that's the cause. Any information
would be great and I thank you in advance!

YES, I have a suggestion.... have your car towed to your mechanic ASAP.

Is this a JOKE? " I did an oil change on my mini and something appears to have gone wrong." The engines that I have seen drastically over filled were smoking profusely from the tail pipe and running badly, often stalling at idle. None had a catastrophic failure. Seals can suffer damage.

You likely drained the transmission fluid. Get someone that is familiar with the Mini to help you do the next oil change or have a Mini dealership do it if you have one nearby.
