Transmission/4wheel drive

Asked by Desertlion Apr 05, 2019 at 12:51 AM about the 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

GM issued a safety bulletin concerning a "CLUNK SOUND' as related to the transfer case for 4 wheel drive systems. The bulletin states the problem and states the noise is not a problem and the situation will not affect performance, however mine is getting worse and affecting performance, My question is has been noted that this is a manufacturer's defect, the cost of replacing the transfer case should be borne by the manufacturer. How do I get redress?
