Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. It recently
started running hot. I never let it get to the point
where it cuts off. I always park it and let it cool off.
Learned this from a previous car. I had someone
come look at the car for me. He said that it is out
of his league. He does not work on "foreign cars".
He did put water in the radiator though. As I crank
the car, water came shooting out of the radiator.
Like a lot. It usually does then when I fill the
radiator up, but not as much as this time. He felt
the hose on the side and said that it was too tight.
Hurried for me to cut the car off and not drive it
because it could possibly bust the radiator. He said
that I have a blown motor. I have only asked a few
people and haven't really had anyone check it out
due to a lot of people denying this kind of car. Can
anyone tell me what's wrong?!

How do I know if it's the head gasket though? I never ran the car that hot to have blown the motor. I don't understand.

Heat is a big factor, but a head gaskets can fail anytime doesn't mean the engine is bad just need to replace the gasket. Check to see if the oil looks milky and if there is white smoke coming from tail pipe.

Neither. The oil looks new. Probably due to the fact I just got an oil change, changed the spark plugs and coil packs.

Then you cheapest and easiest thing to do is replace the thermostat, bleed system really good, and see what it does.

So I drove the car today just to see what it would do. It didn't go back the half mark for the 15 minutes that I drove it. However, when I got out.. I heard water. As I have often times before. Could this be why the car is overheating and spitting up so much water from the radiator?

My Crosstour keeps going into diagnostics mode every time I start the engine. The I have to manually back out of the diagnostics screen. Should I be worried? is there any way I can stop this from happening every time I start the engine?
