Cranks but won't start!

Asked by Samantha Aug 07, 2016 at 01:03 PM about the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Santa Fe, just replaced a
blown radiator and had to patch up a 1/4"
hole that had been drilled into the gas tank.
Now it cranks but won't start?! Heads are
not blown, fuses are good, inertia switch
not tripped. Any suggestions?? Been trying
to get this fixed for months now, ready for
it to be something that just makes me feel
dumb. Need help..

Have you tried spraying some starting fluid or throttle body cleaner into throttle to see if it will start for a few seconds ? If it starts for a few seconds this will let you know its not getting fuel and it it does not fire up for a few seconds you are not getting spark.

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
