Question type: General

Greetings, I recently purchased a 2010 front wheel drive limited.  It now has 1,500 miles.  I'm getting only 16-17 mpg all suburban driving.   According to the specs, I should be getting 19 city and 26 highway.
Will this get better over time?  If not, could there be something wrong with the car?
Thanks Big Bruno

Once your engine gets broken in you will see an increase in your fuel economy. I purchased a new Toyota tundra a little over a year ago and was only getting about 12-13mpg on the highway. Now my truck has 12,000 miles and I am averaging 18mpg hwy. It is basically the same for all new vehicles. Give it a little time and it will get better.
