What do you mean by high mileage? Since the car was sold in 2011 the mileage won't be a problem even with over 100k. That means the car was driven on the motorway. But make sure the servicing was done by a Porsche dealer.

PORSCHES IN GENERAL: Service as required, drive responsibly and I see no mechanical problems at high (over 200,000) miles. Porsches were made to last and to be driven hard.

Our 2005 cayenne S needed a long block new engine within the first 1000 miles. It continued with major warranty issues during the first 50K 6-7 major events that took 3-5 days each, we drove a Honda loaner more than our Porsche than anyone would like. The inventory of parts in USA continues to cause down time. We bought the extended warranty from our dealer just before the 50K milestone and went thru another $25,000 in covered warranty work. By 100,000 miles the SUV had many new parts. From 100,000 to 110,000 the Suv has been unremarkably good until a major warning event started up. The Porshe has the potential for high mileage if and when your bank account is unlimited. The total new purchase cost has been 47.5% of the total out of pocket/warranty dollars (excluding consumables tires, brakes, fluids.. Our past Mercedes and Lexus ratio after 120,000 miles per car was closer to 90%.

Totally agree with RBTerry . Porsche are made strong and to ride fast when needed. Now selling a 2005 Porsche Cayenne S - It's truly an amazing ride. Check my listing, it's a steal: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/garage/viewGarage.action?profileOwner=2281515#carsForSale I would keep it if it was not for the 17-19MPG... and my wife who wants a smaller car :-)

2011 Porsche Ceyenne S - bought used with 50K miles on it; only services by Porsche dealer . 111K miles on it. Has been in the shop 6 times in last 6 months replacing part after part - after dashboard notification after notification. Love the car, ride, speed, maneuverability. Everything else sucks - keep your bank account full. I can't say I would buy another one. Perhaps I'll probably trade this out. Ridiculous.

My 2005 Cayenne S has 225,000 miles and is still running very strong with only minor repairs. Drive it hard but don’t abuse it and always service at your local Porsche dealer. My 2015 Cayenne Diesel Just hit 80,000 with zero repair issues other than oil changes and tires

GuruSZ7CG we must be related. My 2005 Cayenne S has 225,000 miles on it and it also runs super strong. It’s been driven hard since day 1 but only neeeded brakes and tires - nothing major. My 2015 Diesel also just hit 80K with zero issues as well!

I have a 2008 Cayenne S and it has almost 120k. It has needed a new starter, new ignition coils, and new air/oil separator. That's it!

My 2009 Porsche Cayenne V6 has had the cardan shaft replaced twice... then just last week had to replace all three fuel pumps (high pressured, and two under the rear seats. Had to replace two ignition coils, replaced a broken hose and need a new O2 sensor, which I'll fix after my bank account can breathe a bit. I have about 140,000 miles on it. We live a very active lifestyle and have driven it everywhere on long road trips. The ride is fantastic and the engine itself is in great condition. We have a private mechanic who specializes on Porsches and German cars.

My 2005 Cayenne S now has 227,000 miles and has only required basic servicing, including oil changes and tires. These are unbelievable cars. Every Porsche I own (SUVs to 911s) has been incredibly reliable and they are all pushed hard both on the road and on the track. If you want a true money pit, then buy a Mercedes or BMW. Cheap plastic parts everywhere.

is buying a Cayenne Turbo V-8 @ 200KM's for 8000$ a bad idea..it runs well but is the KM's too much?

Some Turbo years were more reliable than others. At 126K miles or 200K km you can expect another 100K miles easily if it was serviced at a Porsche dealer at the required intervals. If you are unsure on the Carfax vehicle history report - walk away unless a Porsche Certified Warranty is available. My Turbo has 228K miles with just basic maintenance and many sets of tires

My experience is totally different. 2012 Cayenne Turbo made only 85k miles before I gave up on the unending out of warranty repairs. Chassis System failure (air suspension failure $$$$) fuel pump, and finally Camshaft. I drove mostly highway miles, never stressed the Performance and did every factory maintenance at premier dealer. But it was a phenomenal highway drive!

Have an 04 Cayenne S with 250,000 kms. Purchased 2 years ago at 230,000 kms. Besides regular maintenance, no major problems to share. Enjoyed it so much, bought a 955 as well to use in non-winter months -- plan to use the 955 in the snowy months, as it's very capable no matter the weather. I'm a Porsche convert. Advice: Enjoy driving again by trying one out if you haven't already. Cost of entry is low for older, high km 955s - drive is incredible, turns feels like you're going straight as the handling is so stable, towing boats/trailer is no problem, off roading with Jeeps is very doable, very affordable 4x4 with unique power distribution to wheels (sorry don't know technical term)-- so much more fun and utility, coming from a guy who's driven mid-priced cars all his life (Honda, Toyota, VW, Oldsmobile). Maybe I'll have to pay for a major repair one day, but for the joy they've given me so far, it'll probably be with it!
